Dr. Parkinson has performed over 10,000 no-scalpel vasectomies since 2006 and is currently performing more than 500 vasectomies per year. He has taught this new no-scalpel technique to other physicians in Utah, Colorado, Alabama and Idaho.
He began his own urology private practice in Utah in 2006. In his private practice, he helps urology patients with various needs, and focuses on treating bladder dysfunction.

Dr. Dixon, a board-certified physician, enjoys providing care for patients of all ages, from newborns to the elderly. His practice focuses on preventative care, well-child, and adult care, chronic illness treatment, and acute injuries. Dr. Dixon also provides non-operative orthopedics and vasectomies to his patients.
The Plain City native completed his residency at the McKay-Dee Family Practice residency program in 2008 following medical school at Midwestern University. Prior, Dr. Dixon received his bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in biochemistry.
Outside of work, Dr. Dixon enjoys spending time with his wife and six children. He is passionate about music and also enjoys a variety of outdoor activities.

Dr. Brandon A. West was born and raised in Southeastern Idaho. After graduating from Idaho State University he moved to Missouri where he attended Kansas City University of Medicine and Bioscience. There he graduated with a Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine and with Sigma Sigma Phi honors. He then returned home to Pocatello where he completed his Family Medicine Residency at Idaho State University, during which time he was elected by his fellow physicians to be Chief Resident.
In the summer of 2005, Dr. West opened his private practice West Family Medicine. He practices a full scope of Family Medicine including a very busy OB practice. He has had the great privilege of delivering hundreds of babies in Southeastern Idaho. His practice also includes adult medicine, pediatrics, dermatology, office orthopedics, and women’s health.
Dr. West has always been actively engaged in the medical community by serving in many leadership positions in the field of healthcare. He has served in several leadership positions at Portneuf Medical Center, including Chief of Family Medicine. Currently he serves on the Portneuf Quality Alliance Board. He and with his fellow board members are helping to shape the future of healthcare in Southeastern Idaho.
When Dr. West finds time outside of his busy office schedule, he is spending time with his wife and four children. He and his family enjoy an active lifestyle. Dr. West loves the outdoors and spends time biking, skiing and hiking the mountains of Idaho. He particularly enjoys spending time in the saddle with his boys exploring the Idaho backcountry. He loves his community and is always looking for ways to serve those in the area.

Dr. Steven Cherrington is a leading provider of family medicine for patients in the Utah County area. He offers family medicine care to all ages. In addition to hospice and palliative care, treatment for snoring, depression, sleep apnea, high blood pressure, and obesity. Dr. Cherrington can also provide many types of contraception including the no-scalpel vasectomy.
He gains great personal satisfaction in seeing people change for the better. To this end, he specializes in treating addiction to opioids, runs a very successful weight loss program and recently has started teaching patients to treat their Type 2 diabetes without the use of medications and ultimately reverse or cure their Type 2 diabetes altogether. He also is interested in and runs a business (GentleRevive.com) that uses medical lasers to do everything from rejuvenate nearly all skin of the body and to revise or remove tattoos. He also performs a procedure in the office that very effectively treats erectile dysfunction with a new treatment that does not use medications. Dr. Thad Barkdull specializes in Sports Medicine, having served as associate professor of Sports Medicine at the University of Hawaii and the Director of Sports Medicine at the Tripler Army Medical Center. He attended Brigham Young University (BYU Rugby 1993-96) before completing his Medical degree at The Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences (USUHS, Bethesda, Maryland). He completed his Family Medicine residency and a fellowship in Sports Medicine at the National Capital Consortium in Washington D.C. serving 15 years in the U.S. Army.
Dr. Barkdull has extensive medical experience including two combat tours to Iraq as well as humanitarian missions in Bangladesh, Nepal and Tonga. He was also a team physician for the Georgetown University Hoyas. Dr. Barkdull is trained in prolotherapy, musculoskeletal ultrasound, joint injections, and acupuncture.
When not working, he’s doing something with his wife, Dr. Jill Bergeson, his four daughters and son.

Dr. Timo Hoggard provides Utah County area patients with family medicine services. Dr. Hoggard also offers obstetrics and gynecological care.
Dr. Hoggard was born in Rexburg, Idaho. He graduated from the University of Utah and then went on to receive his medical degree from the George Washington University’s School of Medicine in Washington, DC. Dr. Hoggard then received specialty training in Obstetrics at Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, Virginia and then completed a residency in Family Medicine at the FHP Family Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. Afterward, Dr. Hoggard set up a practice with the American Fork Clinic in 1996. He has served our communities with great dedication since that time and proudly works with Premier Family Medical today.

Shane Hawthorne, M.D., CAQ Sports Medicine grew up in Provo and graduated from Payson High School. He attended both Brigham Young University and the University of Utah, achieving an Honors Bachelors of Arts and received the prestigious research designation award. Dr. Hawthorne earned his Doctorate of Medicine at the University of Utah and is board certified in Family Medicine. He completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine at the University of Nevada, Reno where he was a team physician for NCAA Division I athletes.
Prior to his medical education, Dr. Hawthorne was a combat medic for the Army Reserves where he learned the importance of correct diagnosis and treatment plan for injured soldiers to help them get back to active duty. It was with a determination to provide patients excellent service and treatment that led Dr. Hawthorne to become a community physician.
Dr. Hawthorne is passionate about serving his community and dedicated to helping athletes of all ages and abilities. He specializes in diagnostic ultrasound, concussion management, and joint injections. He enjoys being the “pit crew” at his wife’s barrel racing events, mountain biking, skiing, and snowboarding.

Dr. Joshua Hardman is an expert physician who provides family medical care to the patients of the Utah County area. Dr. Hardman provides treatment for allergies, migraines, pediatric care, ear infections, stomach conditions, hypertension, and urgent medical needs. Dr. Hardman graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology from Brigham Young University in 2000. He then earned a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Utah in 2003. In 2007, after obtaining his doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine at Des Moines University, he finished a Family Medicine residency at Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Fort Gordon, Georgia. Dr. Hardman spent four years stationed in Fort Drum, New York, part of which time was spent in eastern Afghanistan. Since leaving active-duty military service in 2014, Dr. Hardman has been with Premier Family Medical as a leading physician.
At the office, Dr. Hardman works to provide patients with individualized care options made specifically to meet their unique requirements and circumstances. Plus, when required Dr. Hardman can enlist the knowledge of the entire staff of Premier Family Medical to make sure that any illness or issue which is brought to him is treated correctly and the best care option is used.
